Celebrating Our People

Three Awards Programs Now Open

Right across our communities, there are women, leaders, and changemakers whose work changes lives. Too often, that work happens quietly, without fanfare, but it’s exactly that kind of dedication and vision that deserves to be celebrated.

Three incredible award programs are now open for nominations.

  • NSW Women of the Year Awards
  • The Summit 2025 Awards
  • Konica Minolta Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Community Achievement Award

We have seen the impact recognition can have. Our 2025 ACHIA Aboriginal Housing Award winners reminded us that when we take the time to say, “We see you. We value you,” it builds confidence, inspires others, and strengthens our whole sector. Recognition is not just about a trophy or a title – it’s about acknowledging the hours, the effort, and the heart that goes into building stronger, safer, and more connected communities.

So, we’re encouraging all our members and supporters to think about the people in your networks. Who’s been driving change? Who’s lifted others up? Who’s shown courage, vision, or deep commitment to their community? This is your chance to share their, or your, story with the wider world.

Let’s make sure our people,
our work, and our stories are seen, heard, and celebrated.

Acknowledgement of Country

ACHIA NSW acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land we live, work and play on. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, for they hold the memories, traditions, culture, and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders across this beautiful nation. These lands were never ceded; it always was and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lands.
