ACHIA NSW – Staffing Update

In this Alert, ACHIA NSW says farewell to Trista Hickey, Director, Closing the Gap, Policy and Communications. Trista had spend 12 months with ACHIA NSW and had contributed and delivered some amazing outcomes for the Aboriginal Community Housing Sector. ACHIA NSW sincerely thank Trista for all her hard work and dedication. We wish her well in her career and life journey.

With Trista’s farewell it has left an opportunity for existing staff at ACHIA NSW to step into higher roles. ACHIA NSW is pleased to share that Shane Todd, previously in the role as Manager, Policy and Partnerships, has successfully been appointed to the role of Director, Closing the Gap, Policy and Communications.

Shane has been with ACHIA NSW since May 2023 and continues his passion and dedication to the Aboriginal Community Housing Sector in NSW. “I am thankful to ACHIA NSW, our Board and the sector for this opportunity”. I understand the significance and importance this role has in broader Aboriginal Affairs in NSW and Australia and will continue to lead with the enthusiasm to make an impact and advocate for our Aboriginal Community Housing Sector”, says Shane.

ACHIA NSW is pleased to welcome Monique Rennie to the team in the role of Communications Manager. A proud Kamilaroi/Gomeroi woman, Monique grew up on Biripi country in the Manning Valley and now lives on Wonnarua land in Merriwa, NSW. Coming from the First Nations recruitment sector, she brings a strong commitment to sharing opportunities with and celebrating the achievements of our ACHPs. Monique is eager to make an impact and continue the legacy of her father in supporting our communities.
